Description
Another fruit from the Passiflora family, the nearly round 4 to 7.5 cm in diameter Maracuya, has a tough , smooth, waxy, skin (3 mm thick) ranging in hue from light green to dark-purple. Within the skin are the aromatic seeds, orange in color and all clustered together. The taste is semiacid. It is preferable to let the skim wrinkle and become pale in color before eating the fruit as they are tastier in this condition.
